Your favourite bag is a Munich native; it first saw the light of day in the Bavarian capital nearly four years ago. During its babyhood, the number of people taking it out for some fresh air in the English Garden and snapping the sweet thing with the surfers at the Eisbach was still very manageable. By now, talented colleagues from all over have joined the team, and the community also often asks us questions about Munich. It’s high time to share our notebook of favourite addresses with you.
Shopping
Amber Lounge
ZOÉ LU’s heart belongs to this well-curated multi-brand store with edgy clothing options. Our first partners, still a ZOÉ LU petting zoo where you can see and buy our collections.
Sois Blessed
Born as an institution. A beautifully curated mix of interiors, niche brands and clothes… an absolute must-go in Munich, if only because of the lovely eatery and Barbara’s flower stand.
Liapure
Founded by fashion designer Leonie Isabel Appels, this baby is a little younger than ZOÉ LU. High-quality fashion with limited-edition essentials to make a difference.
Fridas Schmuck
Made in Munich. Goldsmith Anja Schubert creates pieces with a touch of poetry. You’ll want to collect her delicate rings with stones (too).
Fatzke
Hats! In this shop, you would also want to become a member of the club for bringing hats back throughout the entire outdoors. 180% cooler. We love!
Yummy Hotspots
Our boundless appetite ranges from Bavarian food and pasta to various Asian cuisines. We recommend browsing through our long list and forming your own opinion.

Ruby Lilly
A cosy-to-clean designed hotel right in Maxvorstadt, the centre where, statistically speaking, Team ZOÉ LU most often happens to run into each other.
25hours
Also « The Royal Bavarian », a grand hotel with grand suites located in the train station, more precisely in the former main post office and the Royal Bavarian Telegraph Station. Telegraph us if you stop there!
Roomers
Usually affordable for a 5-star hotel. This cool design hotel has a great spa. It's on 3 ZOÉ LU bucket lists because of the deluxe rooms, with the designer bathtub in front of their king-size beds. Should we check in there for a binge-watching weekend?
The Flushing Meadows
In the Glockenbach neighborhood, just a pretzel's throw from Viktualienmarkt. Nice service, nice rooms, and a really good rooftop bar.
Andaz
Laid-back luxury at Schwabinger Tor. Be sure to request a room on one of the upper floors, and Munich, with its rooftops and church towers, will lie at your feet.
Culture & Lifestyle
Van Gogh Alive
Twelve sunflowers in a vase? Off to Starry Night! The immersive animation of van Gogh's works is an absolute must-see! How nice that the event has been extended.
Museum Brandhorst
Andy Warhol, Sigmar Polke, Gerhard Richter, Bruce Nauman, Jeff Koons, Mike Kelley, or Cady Noland … Inspiration for us.
Bahnwärter Thiel
A must: An urban cultural experiment in a park made of shipping containers, upcycled subway cars, etc. Concerts, a let's-talk beer garden, urban gardening. Who needs Berlin? 😉
Alte Pinakothek
Dürer, Cranach, Rembrandt, Rubens, Velazquez, Raphael, and so many other great masters. Don't be shy, just let it wash over you, preferably with classical music in your earbuds.
Viktualienmarkt
Well, there you go. Essen is culture, which is why the excessively beautifully arranged market around the corner from Marienplatz is a must. Whether you want to hear authentic old Munich accents, need a fresh juice, or want to put a few Weisswurst sausages into the ZOÉ LU .
Hair & Beauty
Sharing is caring. Here are a few addresses from us in case you need assistance with tired ends, sad roots, or chewed-up fingernails. Please make your way through them. We're also really eager to book appointments. For example, 23.7% of us now want a manicure with the KALE Green from KURE BAZAAR. You know we're currently obsessed with green.
